The Beach House Restaurant

The second time was the charm for me at The Beach House Restaurant. A few years ago I showed up at this popular Grenada restaurant without reservation, only to find the restaurant packed, there were no more available tables. This time I reserved well in advanced… you should do the same.
My one issue was that even though we arrived on time, we had to wait for what seems way too long. The restaurant was not even filled this time so that was a little frustrating.
They did have us wait in a lovely area next to the bar, and a waiter came by to take our drink order. Ahhhh… nothing like a good cocktail to ease the tension I thought, but the damn drinks also took too long, and by the time it came out, our table was finally ready.
Our Waiter apologized several times for our ordeal, and the night unfolded into a pleasantly good time.
Ambiance
Decor at the Beach House Restaurant is quite appealing. With it’s toned down lights, white table cloths and white wrapped chairs, It has the feel of a fine dining establishment.

The flowers also added an elegant touch… this looks like a Heliconia (I think)

Food
Our meal was quite delicious. It was three of us at Beach House Restaurant for dinner, two of us had lobster tails topped with a creamy sauce and cheese… tasty but very rich. And our other friend had the grilled swordfish. Everyone enjoyed. The potion size are small, so if you are a big eater plan on ordering several courses… or maybe the tasty rolls will do the trick.
Here are some pictures of our food:
The rolls were fresh, and the spread quite devine.

Where’s The Beach House?
It’s on Dr. Grooms Beach, which by the way is quite lovely. If you plan to dine at Beach House during the day then definitely check out the beach… but I digress. As I was saying, the entrance to the restaurant is off the Maurice Bishop Highway next to the Rex Grenadian Hotel. So it’s in the vicinity of the airport.
I will suggest you use a taxi if you don’t have a car to get there, trying to walk from the main road might be a little much. You will know you are close when you see this big sign:
