If you measure a party’s success by the number of people that attend then Face Off at Karma Night Club was extremely successful. Here is a short video clip judge for yourself.

From all reports I got the Face Off party was great… the DJs were excellent.

The major complains were:

1. The bar ran out of some key drinks before the party was over.
2. The poor condition of the ladies restroom. Apparently stalls were not well kept throughout the party, and toilet tissue were not readily replenished.

My first really good lime for the season was at Dodgy Dock in the True Blue Bay Resort last Wednesday night. The one thing you cannot beat Dodgy Dock for is the atmosphere. it’s right on the water and open.

In the picture below I’m hanging with Sheldon (Todd) and Rhett two of my High School buddies. I hadn’t seen Sheldon in probably 15 years.


The young crowd at Dodgy Dock was a mix of St. George’s University (SGU) students, locals, and Grenadians back home on vacation. This is a weekly Wednesday Night affair, and a good alternative to Fantasia. I did not enjoy my last time at the Fantazia Wednesday Night Oldies, but that was 3 years ago so I need to give them a try again.

Back to Dodgy Wednesday Nights… lots of Dancehall, Hip Hop, R&B and Soca  music as one will expect at a predominantly college hangout.

If you happen to be in Grenada on a Wednesday Night and you are looking for a hangout with a younger crowd, then Dodgy Dock is your answer.

Friday Night I hit Club Karma for the Ladies Free Night. I’ve been waiting more than 9 months to make my return to Club Karma. And despite a very rainy Friday evening the night turned out quite well. The house was not packed but the visiting DJ from Toronto had it rocking.

I was expecting many more ladies since it was their night to get in free before 11:30PM. Maybe the rain kept some of them in, or they held out for the Face Off Saturday Night Party.

Oh, one more thing… I paid only EC$10 for a Campari and OJ (one of my favorite cocktails) at Club Karma. At the weekly Wednesday Night session at Dodgy Dock in True Blue I paid EC$18 for the same drink, almost twice as much… cheaper drinks are always a plus in my book

I had heard alot of buzz surrounding Grenada’s Club Karma, and when I first set foot in the Club I finally saw what all the excitement was about. It’s a top of the line Night Club, the best I’ve ever seen in Grenada.

My cousin says it reminds her of a Club in South Beach Miami, and if you know anything about South Beach that says a heck of a lot. Personally I find it to be on par with some of Washington DC’s popular night clubs.

My friends who frequent the Club all gave it rave reviews. So you can imagine my disappoint when all primed up, I got there only to find out that they were about to close for the night. Turns out I picked one of their College Night events, and apparently university policy required it to finish at 2:00 AM… at least that’s what I was told.

We got there around 1:45AM, after a Gouyave Fish Fridays and a Kudos hangout… Karma was practically empty. Must not have been the best night.

So on my next trip I intend to make up for that mishap.

Club Karma Location, Events, Anniversary

You will find Club Karma on the scenic and easily accessible Carenge in St. Georges. 10,000 sq.ft of partying space…. think you can handle it?

It’s been going strong for several months now and will soon celebrate it’s 1 Year Anniversary on November 1st.  So Happy Anniversary Club Karma and here’s to many many more bigger and better years.

Here is the quick low down on the events. Seems like Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays are there big nights:

• Wednesday – Bring your “A game” it’s Karaoke Time with drinks specials

 

• Friday After Work – Heineken Happy Hour from 4PM – 9PM. Come unwind and knock back a Heinekin or two, or if you’re like me enjoy a beastly Cold Carib Beer (My favorite)

 

• Friday Night - Dress casual and come party to your favorite music, ladies free before 12:30 AM (as usual always ladies free… why? ).

 

• Saturday Night – More partying, with inclusive drinks, and a tighter Dress Code in effect.

 

On some nights there are special events so my advice is to always call first to be sure what’s scheduled. 473-435-CLUB. I also heard a Sports Bar and Grill are in the works, and that sounds like a perfect addition.

• Or just ask. Everyone in St. George’s knows how to find Bananas or at the very least they can direct you to the Medical School, in which case you’ll easily spot Bananas.
